Removing 1 million pairs of running shoes from landfill

There are, in the region of, 18 billion pairs of running shoes sold in the world every year. That's the equivalent of 2 pairs of running shoes per person on earth. Yet, there are millions of people in the world who have no shoes and, because of this, suffer terribly from sole diseases.

It is not easy to be precise, but JogOn believe that some 30+ million pairs of shoes end up in landfill every year! Many of these shoes have a lot of life left in them! JogOn would like to do their bit, to get them to those who need them.

What do JogOn do?

Collect

JogOn collect your unwanted running shoes. You can either send them to JogOn, or drop them off with a retail & industry partner.

Sort

JogOn take all running shoes! JogOn then sort them ensuring they are properly paired up and tied together at the laces.

Inspect

All shoes are inspected and prepared to be distributed out. If they are not suitable to be used again, JogOn filter them out and shred those that are "end of life"

Distribute

JogOn work with a network of partners to distribute these running shoes across 11 hubs around the world.

Does this sound like something you'd like to get involved in??
